Toys R Us heading to more WHSmith stores

WHSmith is set to open 30 more Toys R Us concessions by the end of August.

Cheltenham's WHSmith was in the first wave of nine Toys R Us shop-in-shops which opened last year.

The new concessions were a comeback for Toys R Us, five years after it went into administration.

WHSmith said the partnership was working well, as reported by Retail Gazette.

It's not yet known where the new shops will be, but they will stock a range of popular toy brands, including Lego, Fisher Price and Barbie.

WHSmith has just reported a small rise in profits, but its high street profits dipped from £24m to £22m for the last year.

The Toys R Us expansion is part of the retailer's plans to maximise returns from store space.
