Man reported forcibly removing woman from bar

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was reported to have forcibly removed a woman from a bar.

The incident happened on Friday, March 29, between 11pm and midnight in a premises on Bewdley Street, Evesham.

A man entered the bar and grabbed a woman before manhandling her outside. He was then reported to have physically forced her to Cowl Street where they have both gotten into a vehicle.

They are then believed to have driven into Gloucestershire, where further offences are currently being investigated.

The woman has since been traced to a safe location and her welfare has been checked. Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with the investigation.

Officers are appealing for anybody who was in the bar at the time and who witnessed anything suspicious to come forward. They would also like to hear from anyone who may have mobile phone footage which they believe to be relevant.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary through the website, quoting incident number 162 of March 30.
