Churchdown shoplifter banned from retail premises

A Churchdown shoplifter has been banned from entering any retail premises in Gloucestershire apart from three stores near his home.

At Cheltenham Magistrates Court a three year criminal behaviour order was imposed on James Williams, 40, of Coriander Drive after he admitted stealing four steaks worth £19.50 from the Co-op in Churchdown on March 7, 2024, and £13 worth of Persil washing liquid from Tesco in Gloucester on the same date.

The criminal behaviour order bans him from entering any retail premises in Gloucestershire apart from Badhams Pharmacy in Morley Avenue, Churchdown, Costcutter at Imjin Barracks, Innsworth, and the Morrisons/Esso Filling Station at Pirton Corner.

Williams was also ordered to pay £32.50 compensation for the stolen goods.
