The White Company high street sales rise

Clothing and homeware retailer, The White Company, has seen a rise in sales and profits.

Profit for the retailer, which has a store in Cheltenham, was up 3% to £31.9m for the 52 weeks to July 29, as reported by Retail Gazette

Sales rose 4% to £289.3m, which The White Company attributed to a rise in store sales, although it said this was "partially at the expense of online trade".

The White Company has opened five new stores, which it said were performing "ahead of expectations".

The retailer is also continuing to invest in its digital transformation and has recently been awarded B Corp certification.
